The two men begins decades of feuding, which in the end culminates in a fierce showdown for the financial supremacy in Copenhagen.

Marts 1945 angreb britiske Royal Air Force Gestapos hovedkvarter i Shellhuset i København.

Filmen forventes at have dansk premiere i efteråret 2020.

Jens Sætter-Lassen plays freedom fighter in new World War II feature film

“Skyggen i mit øje” is the name of the new World War II movie, directed by the highly acclaimed, Danish director Ole Bornedal. It is a story of a catastrophical bombing of a school, that was never supposed to be targeted. Jens Sætter-Lassen plays one of the many people who experienced the raid up close.

On March 21st 1945, the British Royal Air Force set out on a mission to bomb Gestapo’s Headquarters in Copenhagen. One of the bombers accidentally crashed into a local school, which lead some of the others to believe that the school was the target. The attack had fatal consequences and 120 people were killed, of whom 86 were children.

With “Skyggen i mit øje”, Ole Bornedal has created a captivating story of the people who felt and experienced the raid at first hand. Both at the school, but also at the Gestapo Headquarters, where two freedom fighters, played by Jens Sætter-Lassen and Joen Højerslev, is kept captive.

Shootings started only recently of the film, which Ole Bornedal himself describes as an important piece of Danish history, that is a grim depiction of life during wartime: “I’ve thought of making this film for many years and realised that the only possible way to make it, was to see the depiction through the eyes of children and young people. To create a story, where you are left to wonder on the bizarre creature that is war and on the lacking presence of God”.

The fact that it is young children telling the story of the terrors of war, is also what separates it from other historical period dramas.

The film is produced by Miso Film, led by Peter Bose and Jonas Allen, who is excited about this unique approach and is looking forward to bringing the film out to a broader audience.

Other partners to the film are: Netflix, The Danish Film Institute, SF Studios, Sirena Film and TV 2 Denmark.

The film is expected to premiere in Danish cinemas in late 2020.
